De Col de Platzerwasel is een bergpas die op 1.182 meter ligt en zich bevindt in het Vogezen-gebergte, in het departement Haut-Rhin, Frankrijk, tussen de plaatsen Sondernach en Le Markstein.
Vanuit het noordoosten begint de klim in Munster, met 16,2 kilometer waarin 781 meter hoogteverschil wordt overwonnen, met een gemiddeld stijgingspercentage van 4,8%. Bij Sondernach ontmoet de route de afdaling van de Col du Petit Ballon; en van hier tot de top zijn er nog 7,1 kilometer met een gemiddelde van 8,4%. De secties met de grootste stijging bereiken 9,6% wanneer er tussen de 6 en 4 kilometer tot de pas overblijven.
