Abbeville is een Franse gemeente, gelegen in het departement van de Somme en in de regio Hauts-de-France. De inwoners van Abbeville worden Abbevillois genoemd. De stad ligt aan de Somme. Abbeville telde op 1 januari 2019 22.980 inwoners.De oude, historische Nederlandse naam voor Abbeville is Abbekerke. Jean-Marie Gantois, de belangrijkste figuur van de 20e-eeuwse Vlaamse Beweging in Frans-Vlaanderen, propageerde het gebruik van Abbegem als Nederlandse "vertaling" van Abbeville. Dit is echter geen historische naam en is nooit als dusdanig in gebruik geweest.
