Sens is een stad in het Franse departement Yonne in het uiterste noordwesten van de regio Bourgondië. De gemeente telde 26.688 inwoners op 1 januari 2019. Sens ligt aan de rivier de Yonne, bij de samenvloeiing met de Vanne, en is een stad met een zeer lange geschiedenis. De stad is bekend om zijn kathedraal, de oudste kathedraal in gotische stijl. De inwoners van Sens heten in het Frans Sénonais, evenals de omliggende streek, de Sénonais.
