Forcalquier is een gemeente in het Franse departement Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in de regio Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur die 5.121 inwoners telde op 1 januari 2019. De plaats maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Forcalquier. Forcalquier staat bekend als een typisch Provençaals stadje en is populair bij toeristen. De maandagse warenmarkt is van bovenregionaal belang.Er is veel midden- en kleinbedrijf; enige aanvullende werkgelegenheid biedt de nabije sterrenwacht.Het stadje heeft een klein ziekenhuis.
