In Mormoiron gaan we op de 'hoofdweg' even links. Voorbij een kleine rotonde slaan we schuin rechtsaf in de richting van Flazan. We kruisen een klein riviertje en meteen daarna slaan we linksaf in de richting van Flazan en Sainte Colombe. Na ongeveer een kilometer slaan we linksaf naar Sainte Colombe. Rechts ging het naar Flazan.
We rijden deze weg langs bosranden en akkers helemaal uit. Dan gaan we rechtsaf. We passeren een eerste kruispunt en aan een splitsing gaan we linksaf. Op het einde, een halve kilometer verder, draaien we weer links en na een halve kilometer slaan we weer rechtaf. De weg klimt nu naar Sainte Colombe.
In dat gehuchtje slaan we rechtsaf naar de Mont Ventoux. Het gaat nog een kilometertje vlotjes, maar daarna, voorbij de haarspeldbocht in Saint Estève begint het echte werk. Dit wordt nog zo'n 20 kilometer fors bergop.
