Oyonnax is een gemeente in het Franse departement Ain . De gemeente telde 22.456 inwoners op 1 januari 2019.De gemeente ontwikkelde zich langs de rivier Sarsouille. Langs de rivier werden verschillende watermolens gebouwd. Als vroeg stond Oyonnax bekend voor de fabricatie van kammen. Deze werden aanvankelijk gemaakt uit bukshout en vanaf de 18e eeuw uit paarden- en koeienhoeven. In de 20e eeuw werd dit plastic. Vanwege de belangrijke positie van de plasticindustrie heeft Oyonnax als bijnaam Plastic-Vallée.
