Wist je dat de wetenschapper James Prescott Joule, die zijn naam gaf aan de eenheid van energie, het verschil in temperatuur opnam aan de top en de voet van de waterval van Sallanches. Die waterval is beter bekend als de Cascade d'Arpenaz. Zijn theorie was dat het water een beetje zou opwarmen door de val. Wat ook nog leuk is om te weten is dat hij dit experiment deed tijdens zijn huwlijksreis. Een beetje een mix van "business & pleasure, work & love".
