De Arc de Triomphe van Montpellier, ontworpen door de architect François D'Orbay, een leerling van Mansart, werd in 1692 gebouwd op de plaats van een van de poorten van de oude omwalling. Het is een verplichte doorgang om Montpellier binnen te komen vanuit het Peyrou park
Ontdek de medaillons, het bas-reliëf en de zolder (de top) geverfd in oker en geel, evenals een koninklijk wapen dat zijn Franse blauwe kleur heeft teruggekregen..
En exclusief, neem een rondleiding met het toeristenbureau en trakteer uzelf op een beklimming van de Arc de Triomphe (zo'n 90 treden om te beklimmen...): u zult een van de meest opvallende uitzichten op Montpellier en omgeving ontdekken.
