Nationaal park Vanoise is een van de grootste nationale parken van Frankrijk en van Europa als men de aansluiting met het Italiaanse Nationaal park Gran Paradiso meerekent. Het Parc national de la Vanoise is het eerste tot nationaal park uitgeroepen gebied in Frankrijk. Het werd gecreëerd op 6 juli 1963. Op de grens met Italië grenst het park aan het Nationaal park Gran Paradiso. In 1972 zijn beide landen een samenwerkingsverband aangegaan en beide parken beslaan nu samen een oppervlakte van 1250 km².
