Er zijn nog rotskelders en muurrestanten in het onderste deel, het bovenste deel op de kasteelrots is goed toegankelijk met laddertrappen aan de steile zandsteenwanden. In het bovenste deel van het kasteel bevindt zich een goed bewaard gebleven rotsruimte. Opmerkelijk zijn de resten van een zeshoekige toren. Het kasteel biedt een mooi uitzicht over het beboste Steinbachtal en de tegenoverliggende hellingen.
