Deze borne is oorspronkelijk geplaats langs de N174, bij kilometer 24. Met dank aan Bart Prins en Marieke van Eijkelen, ontdekt tijdens een van hun fietstochten door Normandië.
Deze borne werd op 9 augustus 1999 geplaatst door UNC ( Union Nationale Combattants). In November 2014 werd de borne tijdens renovatiewerken herplaatst, opgeknapt en opnieuw beschilderd door Marcel Crenn .
