De Hôtellerie de l'Abbaye (kamers te huur in een voormalig 2*-hotel) ligt in de Périgord Noir, ideaal gelegen tussen de valleien van de Vézère en de Dordogne, dicht bij veel van de bezienswaardigheden van de regio. Deze serene plek in het centrum van het dorp Saint Amand is rijk aan erfgoed en staat op de lijst van de mooiste dorpen van Frankrijk. Het wordt gedomineerd door een versterkte abdijkerk uit de 12e eeuw, die in 1886 als historisch monument werd geclassificeerd. Halverwege de heuvel, bebost, tussen de vallei en het plateau, op de GR 461 die Terrasson met Montignac-Lascaux verbindt, kunt u hier een rustig verblijf doorbrengen, ver van de hoofdwegen.
