Een verdedigingstoren uit de 13e eeuw, met een verrassend panoramisch uitzicht over de stad en de Pyreneeën vanaf zijn belvedère in Oloron Sainte-Marie, in het hart van de middeleeuwse wijk Sainte-Croix
Het gebouw was waarschijnlijk gewijd aan de handel in de 14e eeuw.
In de volgende eeuw werd het groter, omdat de eigenaars hun rijkdom wilden tonen door middel van originele architectuur.
De toren herbergt momenteel een grote collectie Pyreneese fauna.
