La Teste-de-Buch is in de eerste plaats de Dune du Pilat, de hoogste van Europa, een beschermd natuurgebied.
De gemeente La Teste de Buch herbergt met dit meesterwerk van de natuur ook de meeste natuurgebieden waarvoor de Baai van Arcachon beroemd is: het Île aux Oiseaux en zijn cabanes tchanquées, de Banc d'Arguin, het Lac de Cazaux....
