Het strand van Sables d'Or, het laatste strand van de wijk Chambre d'Amour, heeft alle kenmerken van een stadsstrand. Omgeven door bars en restaurants is het het hele jaar door populair, vooral bij tieners. Het strand is uitgerust met beachvolleybalvelden. S Avonds, in het seizoen, is het strand verlicht, zodat u kunt genieten van het spektakel van de golven.
Het strand heeft een blauwe vlag en staat onder toezicht van half juni tot half september.
Elk jaar in augustus vindt er een professionele surfwedstrijd van de World Surf League plaats, evenals Surf de Nuit, een uniek evenement in Europa.
