Onder de oude versterkte poort van het kasteel van de graven van Luxemburg door. Hier zijn we, op de binnenplaats van het kasteel
Het oudste gebouw is de vlooientoren. Samen met verschillende gebouwen uit de late gotiek tot de 18e eeuw voert deze binnenplaats ons mee naar het verleden. Een korte stop voor dit gotische herenhuis. Zijn toren en zijn flamboyante stijl geven het een dimensie die zijn buren niet hebben. Een kwestie van perspectief. De wapendecoraties getuigen van de aanwezigheid van belangrijke bewoners
In de 14e eeuw waren het de provoosts van de stad die toestemming kregen om op de binnenplaats van het kasteel te bouwen.
