Het Musée du Pays de Laon neemt bezoekers mee op een reis door tijd en ruimte, van de prehistorie tot de 19e eeuw. De mediterrane archeologische zalen (Egypte, Cyprus, Griekenland, Etruskische en Romeinse beschavingen) hebben een nieuwe thematische presentatie gekregen. Achttiende-eeuws meubilair en aardewerk, schilderijen uit de vijftiende tot de zeventiende eeuw, waaronder "De Annunciatie", een altaarstukpaneel, circa 1410, en "Het Concert" van Mathieu Le Nain.
Regionale archeologie is ook goed vertegenwoordigd, met artefacten uit de Gallo-Romeinse en middeleeuwse perioden. Het gebouw staat op een voormalig terrein van de Tempelorde van Laon en de kapel van de voormalige commanderij is nog steeds te zien in de aangrenzende tuin.
Het museum is geopend van dinsdag tot zaterdag van 13.00 tot 17.00 uur. (Let op: de toegang is sinds januari 2023 helemaal gratis).
