De musea AMERICA & GOLD BEACH roepen de twee belangrijkste gebeurtenissen in herinnering die Ver-sur-Mer in de 20e eeuw hebben getekend.

Het AMERICA museum vertelt het verhaal van de eerste luchtpostverbinding en de eerste bemande vlucht tussen de Verenigde Staten en Europa door de driemotorige Fokker AMERICA, vanaf het opstijgen in New York op 29 juni 1927 tot de noodlanding voor de kust van Ver-sur-Mer in de nacht van 1 juli 1927. Diorama, overblijfselen van de AMERICA, journaal uit 1927...

Het GOLD museum toont de Britse landingen in dit gebied op 6 juni 1944. Vijf video's (35 minuten in totaal) over de voorbereiding, de overtocht, de bombardementen en de landingen op 6 en 7 juni 1944. Modellen, diorama's, documenten, foto's, voorwerpen, uniformen en persoonlijke souvenirs...

Duur van de rondleiding: 1 uur en 15 minuten.
