In Ambrus komt u in het bos van de Landes, met zijn uitgestrekte dennenbossen en beekjes. Al heel vroeg dienden de rotsachtige schuilplaatsen van de Avizon en de Rusthe als schuilplaats voor de prehistorische mens. Later maakten de Galliërs van Ambrus een plaats van verering vanwege de aanwezigheid van talrijke vereerde fonteinen.
Een paar stappen van de kerk staat nog een van deze fonteinen met therapeutische deugden. Sinds mensenheugenis komen pelgrims hierheen om wensen te doen en een muntje te gooien. U kunt hetzelfde doen op deze bucolische en geheime plek.
