Limoge is de belangrijkste stad en is zeer gekend voor zijn porselein. De Limousin is een zeer ruraal gebied en beroemd voor zijn heerlijk rundsvlees, gekend als het Limousin vee. Daarnaast is het gebied ook een zeer belangrijke bon voor hout.
