Thierry Huau, scenograaf en landschapsarchitect, nodigt je uit om de fascinerende wereld van Joseph Bory Latour-Marliac te ontdekken, uitvinder in 1875 van de gekleurde waterlelies die de schilder Claude Monet tot een meesterwerk maakte.
Het huis en de tuin van de beroemde botanicus in Temple-sur-Lot, op slechts 5 minuten lopen van de historische kwekerij, zijn sinds 1911 gesloten en zijn nu weer open voor het publiek.
De tuinen, muren, spiegels en plafonds vertellen het verhaal van een tijd waarin, dankzij de industrialisatie, de geboorte van de kleurenfotografie en een ongekend enthousiasme voor de tuinbouw, een van 's werelds grootste artistieke bewegingen ontstond die meesterwerken voortbracht in de schilderkunst, literatuur, muziek en decoratieve kunsten.
