In het centrum van het dorp leidt een klein pad, omzoomd door een droge stenen muur, naar de site. De fontein en het washuis bevinden zich onder een fruitboom. De fontein, 'een goede bron' genesteld in een laag muurtje, werd gebruikt door de dorpelingen die water kwamen halen met emmers, vooral 'voor de koeien in de stal'. Een granieten trog en een washuis met afgeronde hoeken ontvangen het water uit de fontein. Een granieten rots in de buurt werd gedolven door Italiaanse steenhouwers die zich in de jaren 1930 in het dorp vestigden.
