Laurel & Hardy zijn een van de bekendste komedieduo's uit de geschiedenis van de 7e kunst. De tandem werd gevormd in 1927 toen de twee acteurs de veertig naderden en al een succesvolle individuele carrière als
acteercarrière. Hun succes was aanzienlijk en vanaf dat moment bleven ze samen optreden. In een carrière van 25 jaar maakten ze meer dan 100 films.
Met dit nieuwe film-concertprogramma nodigt het Orchestre Régional de Normandie je uit om drie van Laurel & Hardy's eerste korte films te ontdekken. De opdracht voor een nieuwe muzikale creatie is toevertrouwd aan Cyrille Aufort, een eminent componist van filmmuziek die voor het ORN al briljante composities schreef voor filmconcerten over Mickey Mouse en Charlie Chaplin.
