Deze molen, gelegen op een oude Gallo-Romeinse site, werd in het begin van de 12e eeuw gebouwd in de gemeente Beuxes. De bron van Maumont, 500 meter verderop, voedt de molen, die oorspronkelijk was uitgerust met twee wielen van 2,40 meter diameter. Het staakte alle maalactiviteiten in 1919.
De huidige eigenaar, die de 5e generatie vertegenwoordigt, herstelt dankzij zijn energie en passie deze architectuur in haar oude glorie. Het eerste trogwiel is zojuist geïnstalleerd en geeft deze molen zijn oude ziel terug.
