Een benedictijnenabdij gesticht in 1034. Deze meer dan duizend jaar oude abdij staat bekend als een van de eerste historische centra voor onderwijs, opleiding en studie in Frankrijk. Sinds 2019 herbergt de dorpsabdij het Lycée Catholique de Pontlevoy, waardoor het zijn oorspronkelijke essentie terugkrijgt, een school op het platteland, in een omgeving rijk aan waarden en geschiedenis, gegraveerd in de steen van de vallei van de Cher. Franse tuin, schoolterrein en schoolmoestuin.
