De kapel op begraafplaats nr. 1 is het oudste religieuze gebouw in de stad Saint-Chély d'Apcher. Het kreeg al in het begin van de 12e eeuw, in 1109, de naam "Sancti Yieri de Capoleg". Het was ook de eerste parochiekerk van de stad tot 1689, toen de parochie werd overgebracht naar de kerk Saint-Hilaire binnen de stadsmuren.
De kerk is gebouwd in Romaanse stijl en er zijn alleen nog een apsis en twee zijkapellen van granietsteen over. Het portaal met spitsboog wordt bekroond door een oculus. Bovenop het gebouw staat een imposant smeedijzeren kruis dat Christus aan het kruis afbeeldt. De uiteinden van de takken zijn versierd met kruisbloempjes.
De kapel is gesloten en niet toegankelijk voor bezoekers.
