De Refuge d'Ayous ligt in de Atlantische Pyreneeën in het berggebied van de Bearn, in het hart van de Ossau-vallei, op de hoogten van de Tour de l'Ossau, de GR10 en de HRP, en kijkt uit op het prachtige meer van Gentau en de Pic du Midi d'Ossau. Het heeft een capaciteit van 47 plaatsen in kleine slaapzalen. De beheerders van deze plaats verzorgen een catering service tijdens de lunch. Voor wandelaars die willen genieten van de zonsondergang boven het meer is half- of volpension beschikbaar. Het is een ideale tussenstop voor gezinswandelingen, maar ook voor schoolgroepen. Een fijne wandeling.
