Geregistreerd als historisch monument in 1963. Volgens de overlevering werd Pepijn de Korte onder de oorspronkelijke kerk begraven. De pre-Romaanse crypte is een prachtig voorbeeld van Karolingische architectuur. De site is het hele jaar door geopend, op aanvraag bij het VVV-kantoor van Vireux-Wallerand - place du château. Let op: het toeristenbureau van Val d'Ardenne is geopend: april tot september: dinsdag tot zondag van 10.00 tot 13.00 uur en van 14.00 tot 18.00 uur; oktober tot maart: dinsdag tot zaterdag van 10.00 tot 13.00 uur en van 14.00 tot 17.00 uur.
