Description

La Moncelle is een klein dorp van 132 zielen en ligt aan de rand van Sedan. Het dorp ligt op een heuvel met uitzicht op de rivierbedding van de Givonne. De kerk, gebouwd in 1838. Het Maison Doyen-Lobet, een typisch dorpshuis, is van vele eigenaren geweest en heeft verschillende functies gehad.Firmin Drouart, een opmerkelijke figuur in de industriële geschiedenis van La Moncelle, zoon van Théophile Drouart, uitvinder (onder andere) van de lucifermachine.
