Jaar van het verkrijgen van de 1e Bloem: 2011Asfeld is een dorp van ongeveer 1000 inwoners, genaamd de asfeldois.De Aisne is de belangrijkste rivier die de stad doorkruist.Het dorp ligt op 24 km van Reims (Marne) en 68 km van Charleville-Mézières.Het hangt af van de Gemeenschap van gemeenten van het Pays rethélois.Te zien trouwens: Kerk van Saint Didier, geclassificeerd als historisch monument. De enige barokkerk in de Ardennen, gebouwd in 1683 in de vorm van een viola da gamba, in baksteen, met een rotonde en peristyle. Architect: François Romain, een dominicaan. Kapel van Notre Dame de la Pitié, bevat een pièta uit 1604.
