Het is een belevenis op zich, je ongeveer 45 km lang een weg banen langs de single track road (B8007) naar Ardnamurchan Point, het meest westelijke puntje op het Britse vasteland, ruim 100 km westelijker dan Lands End.
Het wegje is smal, bochtig, hellend en het laatste beetje is zelfs lichtelijk verbijsterend, inclusief een groot rood verkeerslicht. Verkeerslichten zijn een rariteit in deze contreien.
