De kathedraal van Salisbury heeft heel wat records: De kathedraal heeft de hoogste kerktoren in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Deze is 123m of 404 voet hoog. Bezoekers kunnen de "Tower Tour" volgen, waar het interieur van de holle torenspits kan bewonderd worden. De kathedraal heeft ook het grootste klooster en de grootste kathedraal oppervlakte in Groot-Brittannië (80 hectare). De kathedraal bevat 's werelds oudste nog werkende klok (uit 1386) en heeft één van de vier overgebleven originele exemplaren van de Magna Carta (alle vier originele exemplaren zijn in Engeland).
