Llandovery is een marktstadje in hartje Wales. De naam betekent 'kerk te midden van de wateren'. Het ligt bij de rivieren Towy, Bran, Gwydderig en Bawddwr. Vanuit het plaatsje is een rondrit door het woeste gebied van Wales te maken, een traject van ongeveer 140 kilometer. Korter is de uitdagende weg naar een stuwdam, het Llyn Brianne Reservoir.
