Dit is het standbeeld van Eleftherios Venizelos. Elefthérios Kyriakos Venizélos was een van de belangrijkste politici van modern Griekenland aan het begin van de 20e eeuw. Hij stierf in 1936. Hij wordt gecrediteerd met de titel "de maker van modern Griekenland". In de Eerste Wereldoorlog bracht hij Griekenland aan de kant van de Geallieerden, waarbij hij de Griekse grenzen verder uitbreidde.
