Bij de ingang van het park van Kifisia staat nog de oude watertank om de stoomtrein te bevoorraden. Dit was de stoomtrein die Kifisia met Athene verbond. Kifisia is altijd een populaire plek geweest voor de rijke mensen uit Athene (zelfs al sinds de oudheid). Maar de totstandkoming van de treinverbinding met Athene vanuit Kifisia in de 19e eeuw maakte Kifisia nog populairder en handiger om te wonen. Binnen een uur waren de mensen in het centrum van Athene. De huidige hoofdverbinding met de metro bevindt zich aan de andere kant van het park.
