Wie er met de auto omheen wil zal voor een complete ronde minstens anderhalf uur moeten uittrekken, en die kronkelende tocht is geen tijdverspilling. Hij voert langs rotswanden en groene hellingen, door postzegeldorpen vol schitterende historische gevels en fraaie, stemmige terrassen; en al die tijd is dat vredige, pretentieloze, geheel toeristenvrije water van het Lago d'Iseo geen seconde uit beeld.
