Perugia, Perugia in het Italiaans, is een stad in Italië in de regio Umbrië, provincie Perugia, met 165.683 inwoners op 1 januari 2018.
De universiteit werd opgericht in 1307. Het meest bekende lokale product is chocolade; er wordt elk jaar in oktober een chocoladefestival gehouden.
Perugia was een van de belangrijkste steden van Etrurië aan de grens van dit gebied, op een heuvel aan de rechteroever van de Tiber, en dichtbij het Trasimeenmeer.
