Tusculum is de klassieke Romeinse naam voor een belangrijke stad in de Albaanse Heuvels, in de regio Lazio in Italië.
De ruïnes van Tusculum liggen op de Tuscolo heuvel, op de noordelijk rand van de buitenste kraterring van de Albaanse vulkaan. De vulkaan ligt in de Albaanse heuvels op 6 km ten noordoosten van het moderne Frascati, met Rome op ca. 25 km richting noordwesten. Richting Rome reisde men over de Via Latina , of via de Via Labicana in het noorden.
