Bari is een belangrijke veerhaven; er zijn onder andere veerverbindingen naar steden aan de tegenoverliggende kust van de Adriatische Zee en naar Griekenland.
In 2019 werden 1.191.753 passagiers op veerboten en 674.675 cruisepassagiers afgehandeld. 6,1 miljoen ton goederen werden verhandeld.
