Zodra Christina bij Borghetto de Tiber was overgestoken, sloeg ze rechtsaf: met een klein deel van haar gevolg ging ze westwaarts om het Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola en het kasteel van Paolo Giordano Orsini II in Bracciano te bezoeken. De rest van de reisstoet reed zuidwaarts over de Via Lauretana. Het schilderij van Hendrik Frans van Lint (1684-1763) toont Borghetto. Tegenwoordig is het kasteel van Borghetto een ruïne.
