In het Groothertogdom Luxemburg zijn net geen 48 procent van alle inwoners buitenlander, met als grootste groep – ietwat verrassend – de Portugezen. Ook ons buurland met een ietwat saai imago komt verrassend uit de hoek. Neem nu de Nationale Feestdag. Die valt op 23 juni en herdenkt alzo de verjaardag van Groothertogin Charlotte, die bijna vijftig jaar over Luxemburg regeerde. Alleen werd zij geboren op 23 januari 1896. Maar ja, op 23 juni is er simpelweg meer kans op goed weer.
