Het voormalige Amsterdamse Hoofdpostkantoor is gelegen aan de Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal achter het Paleis op de Dam. Het gebouw is opgetrokken in een mengvorm van neostijlen, waarbij met name neogotische en neorenaissancistische elementen zijn gebruikt . Het behoort tot 6de in de 'Top 100 van de Rijksdienst voor de Monumentenzorg' uit 1990.
