Voor zover bekend dateert het landgoed De Kranenkamp uit 1600. Een eeuw later wordt een begin gemaakt met de bouw van een landhuis en de aanleg van een park. Het landgoed is aangelegd op een oorspronkelijk moerassig terrein. Het terrein is vrij toegankelijk behalve rond het landhuis. Er is een gemarkeerde wandelroute uitgezet over het landgoed.
