Nunhem is een kerkdorp in de Nederlandse provincie Limburg en maakt deel uit van de gemeente Leudal.
De plaats komt in 1224 als Numen. De naam zou teruggaan op de samenstelling van Nieuw en Heem, wat "nieuwe woonplaats" betekent. De parochie Nunhem wordt eveneens vermeld in 1224. Op die datum wordt het patronaatsrecht en het personaat van Nunhem door Dirk van Altena en zijn vrouw Ymaina overgedragen aan de abdij van Averbode. De Parochie Nunhem was verbonden met de kloosters van Keizerbos en Sint-Elisabethsdal
