Kaag en Braassem is een gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Zuid-Holland, die op 1 januari 2009 is ontstaan door samenvoeging van de gemeenten Alkemade en Jacobswoude.Kaag en Braassem bestaat uit tien dorpen: Hoogmade, Kaag, Leimuiden, Nieuwe Wetering, Oud Ade, Oude Wetering, Rijnsaterwoude, Rijpwetering, Roelofarendsveen en Woubrugge en vier buurtschappen: Bilderdam, Ofwegen, Vriezekoop en Zevenhuizen. De gemeente heeft per 31 januari 2022 een inwoneraantal van 27.931 .
