IJsseloog is een kunstmatig eiland midden in het Ketelmeer dat tot doel heeft verontreinigd slib uit de bodem van het meer te bergen. Daarnaast heeft het een recreatie- en natuurontwikkelingsfunctie. Het eiland dankt zijn naam aan de ligging voor de monding van de IJssel en aan de vorm van het slibdepot, rond als een oog, waardoor het contactoppervlak van het slibdepot met de omgeving zo klein mogelijk is. Daarnaast is het woord "oog" een oud-Nederlands woord voor eiland. Denk aan Schiermonnikoog of Lauwersoog.
