De Slag op de Zuiderzee op 11 oktober 1573 was een treffen tussen de watergeuzen en een Spaanse-Vlaamse vloot, dat werd gewonnen door de watergeuzen.Voorafgaand aan de Slag op de Zuiderzee hadden de watergeuzen enkele strategische plaatsen veroverd, zoals Den Briel en Vlissingen . Daarnaast had ook Enkhuizen zich achter de prins geschaard . Hierdoor konden de geuzen de Rijn, Schelde en Zuiderzee blokkeren.
