Koninklijke DSM NV is een Nederlands chemiebedrijf dat internationaal actief is en zich vooral toelegt op fijnchemie en biotechnologie. Het bedrijf is voortgekomen uit de voormalige Nederlandse Staatsmijnen, en de naam was dan ook oorspronkelijk de afkorting voor De Staats Mijnen. Later werd ook de Engelse afkorting Dutch State Mines gebruikt. DSM heeft enkele honderden vestigingen over de gehele wereld. Het hoofdkantoor is gevestigd in Heerlen.
