Hij leefde als eenvoudige landbouwer in de omgeving van madrid en stierf in het jaar 1130 en werd in 1622 door Paus Gregorius XV heilig verklaard . Zijn feestdag is op 15 Mei
Strijbeekse veldkapel Isidorus weer als nieuw
- De Sint Isidoruskapel in Strijbeek was in verval, maar heeft een fikse opknapbeurt gehad. Zaterdag wordt het kleine bedehuisje ingewijd.
