The moment you step into Brukt & Ateljee, you literally and figuratively imagine yourself back in time. At 34 Everstraat in Einighausen, a former horse stable and old barn have been transformed into a real museum shop from grandmother's time after years of renovation.
Here, life in the past is displayed in themed corners with the help of countless utensils. A visit to Brukt & Ateljee is therefore an unexpected trip down memory lane for many!
Still, it's not just old stuff on display. The brocante items form a beautiful setting for displaying eye-catching contemporary utensils by contemporary designers and inspired works of art by (mostly regional) artists.
This surprising combination of brocante, art and contemporary design is worth a visit in itself. But it's all the more fun that a lot of the vintage stuff, design objects and works of art are also for sale!
Brukt & Ateljee is located in the village of Einighausen, just on the border of South Limburg, near Sittard. The village is widely known for its annual event Oude Craften Einighausen.
In addition, the village is also known for the many old, well-restored farms with their characteristic gates. Behind one of these gates, residents Dré and Sylvia have worked hard in recent years to realize their big dream of a museum/gallery/vintage shop. In the form of Brukt & Ateljee, this dream has become reality!
Curious? Come and visit us during one of the open-gate weekends. Then take the time to browse through the many brocante items, dwell on the exhibits' artefacts, or travel back in time to see the many utensils from earlier days, as they are displayed in the museum presentation. .
